Thermal Coating Effects?

Wanted to try the thermal coating at Autofix. What exactly is the procedure like and what does it really do??? Anyone has any experience to share here and will the warranty be voided?

Be careful about thermal coating anything though! Read somewhere that after the cating was done, the heat retains within the part that was coated but since the exhaust manifold was not up to standard, the part or adjoining parts cracked! That warranty was voided

U mean the stock manifold or that guy changed aftermarket one?

If the stock maniford isn't upto standard, should go back agent and claim it, since all the car manuf. have gotten the ISO, so should no doubt on OEM parts.

Yeah but since the manifold was not coated to start with, the warranty does not cover when he coated it with thermal treatment as he was told. Too much heat retained within the metal it seems!
