Anyone can shed some light on what S/N ratio and THD means ? [dizzy]

They are mentioned in most car amp tech specs ...

e.g. THD at Rated Power: <0.08% @ 4 ohm (20 Hz - 20 kHz)

S/N Ratio: >104 dB (A-weighted, 20 Hz

Hi guys,

I had just install the following ICE and wld like to seek experts' opinion in tuning Time Correction and Bass-focus. I am using my Stock HU (Alpine CDA-W560E series)

1) Front speaker; Focal Polyglass 165V2 6 inches component speakers that comes with tweeters and crossover but dunno what model.

2) Placed under the small tables in between driver and front passenger's seat; Bazooka 6100 6 inches Active woofer

My preference for music includes 80s pop and Linkin' Park's kind. Occassionally also Leslie Cheung and Jackie Cheung.

Hope someone can advice from here.....

dude get a grip on urself pls...stop posting multiple copies of the same post.

i know u are eager to get answers but poting multiple times will only turn ppl away from answering u. Let the post be there for a day or two and slowly u will start getting inputs.

And just to answer ur question i am not sure abt TA and stuff but one thing for sure is since u just installed the system give it 1 or 2 weeks atleast to run in. After that u can tweak the system etc. For now u can try playing around with the bass, trebble etc.

But actually wat exactly is lacking in ur system based on ur observation? Bass? Clarity? Not balanced? etc post more of such info.

The gurus will attend to u shortly [:p]

My advice is listen to more setups, then u know what ur system is lacking, then u will know how to tune your system to what u want. To listen to more setups, come for meetups.
