Thinking of making a trip to this Tekka place.

Are there many similar shops or its the one and only hardware shop?

Any names, which level, distinctive sign? Thanks

From the gen read didn't see what you guys want the wrench for.

For wheel nut or outside body, hand tight enough.

Equal torgue tightening is required for engine parts like cylinder head and those critical area, as the head and block are under high heat and pressure, equal torgue tightening will ensure the head will not warp or leak after heating and high pressure.

Had one before as ever did own valve grinding. But my dear sis trade it away FOC to some art lover as it look good as an art piece. Wah what a waste but what to do ? Never touch that thing for too long time until being chuck here and there....

Thinking of getting one for DIY plugs change and whatever that requires it later.

Think it is better idea to change plugs like weekend mornings before car is used. The workshop I frequent is like half Singapore away from my place. Reach there engine is like super hot.

I don't know why but I always feel that the heat is so intense. Once open car door while I sitting in car can feel already. Radiator fan also like on most of the time.

Don't know whether to drain and replace coolant + add waterwetter.

let's say change tires/rims, has anyone ask shop mechs to hand-tighten then DIY tighten with torque wrench?

or better still, got any shops using torque wrenches?

=========================

The last time I was at pxx xxxg, the guy finished tightening with a torque wrench.

I was like ..... wah [shocked] . 1st time I saw a tyre shop guy actually use it.

In the US, this is possible. You can request for hand tighten with torque wrench. Here, they might look at you with the "you siao issit?" tongue.gif

Hey got lah. Even without me asking.

Was pxx xxxg. Surprise surprise. [thumbsup]

Plug change no need torque wrench. Apply same force by hand during tighten enough.

BTW, only if need to do workshop level job (strip engine etc) may need it like what was mentioned.
