Definately not normal. When I installed mine the guy had to decide whether he wants to take my back seat out or cut the solar film. Stare at him long enuf and he will do the rest. Of course cut and joint faster for the installer, don't have to take out then put back the back seat, but joint lines are fugly and you pay good $$ for it.

Do you mean the rear windscreen? If it is then its perfectly normal. The solar film for the rear windscreen is made up of 3-4 pieces. Only the front windscreen and the side windows are all one piece. [thumbsup][nod]

maybe mine easier ?? my car is HB wink.gif unless their film is so much diff from others that they have to do it in 2 piece. cos, from what I saw at perfect windows & other shops, its all one piece one ( including on a CLK - huge and long rear windscreen)

I'm sure lots of bros here have did their window films ..... care to comment ??

What film u use confused.gif And what's your ride confused.gif

I had mine VKOOL and according to the installer some car extremely hard to do eg. Beetle (The curve of the windscreen) sweatdrop.gif

But as long as your installer is good and experience, they should know what to do instead of cutting the film smash.gifsmash.gif

Juz my $0.02 nod.gifthumbsup.gif

trying to get a photo of the join line .....

my ride's a FL N16.

Perhaps certain cars need to have multiple pieces and some just 1 piece ok ?

shall we start a poll ? [:/]

anyhow, mine was installed twice. Both times no lines.
If you get photo, let me know cos I don't remember seeing joint lines. Only the front is 2 piece. One at the top (silvery in color) and the normal tinting below.

ES5, I think it's inffratech with 2 F. Installed it in malaysia. The installer will use a heat blow device to soften up the heat film abit so that it will mold to the shape of your glass. Very professional installation. I see zero bubbles, compare to Vcool on my old car.
