Gen2 Neutral Newbie June 11, 2005 Share June 11, 2005 (edited) Hey bro, those two models you mentioned I think are rotary machines not a DA polisher like PC7424. You should be looking for a Rupes DA machine with a model number 65 in it (forgot the actual model number). Send you a PM, pls check. Silgt Neutral Newbie June 11, 2005 Share June 11, 2005 LH16EN is a rotary polisher. The model you should be looking for is BR65AE. It is comparable (probably superior?) to PC7424.

Superblackbird Neutral Newbie June 13, 2005 Share June 13, 2005 Found a local distributor for Flex porter cable which is the actual company that made the porter cable. But notice that most of it are rotary except for the Model X 1107 VE which i supposed is a DA.Can check if they have any in stock. Gen2 Neutral Newbie June 13, 2005 Share June 13, 2005 I have already checked with them before I bought my DA machine. If I'm not wrong the price of that DA machine is pretty steep and that's the reason I did not even go down to take a look. Btw have you got yourself a DA machine ? It has been a while since you mentioned getting a machine.

Superblackbird Neutral Newbie June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Gen2,not yet.I`m still searching for a good DA.Lifetime invesment.Actually i`ve narrowed down to 2,its either a cyclo or a PC7424,and for the PC i`ll still need to get a step down transformer.May be Rupes,as my last resort. You`re right,as for the Flex the local distributor quote me $980 for a DA.Crazy!!! Silgt Neutral Newbie June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 I would suggest either a Rupes or a DeWalt (Black & Decker).
Gen2 Neutral Newbie June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Let me know if you decide to buy the cyclo. Have not seen a cyclo in action yet, maybe can go and see how it works if you decide to buy (that's provided you don mind) .

Silgt Neutral Newbie June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Have tried the Cyclo polisher, felt the single speed and weight is a disadvantage...YMMV
Steelblue Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 where did you try it? in the States?
Silgt Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 No...locally. Someone brought in a few sets (not sure if it was to test market or for some specific buyers) and I was asked to try them. That was a year ago...but those cyclos can last you a lifetime of heavy usage tho
Steelblue Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 I like the fact that it 'claims' to not burn paint..I might be interested in getting one..but not now lah From http://www.topoftheline.com/cyclo-polisher.html Cyclo Orbital Polisher: From the 1950's to the present.. we firmly believe the Cyclo Polisher is the BEST ORBITAL POLISHER IN THE WORLD! Gen2 Neutral Newbie May 5, 2006 Share May 5, 2006 Another machine you can look into is the Rupes, having a local distributor here if the machine breaks down at least there is someone you can turn to. Besides you safe the trouble of using a transformer . ↡ Advertisement
