Liquimoly Moly additive

anyone recommend the use of this product?

 

it'll add moly into the engine for better lube... the brand isn't that bad, so want to get some feedback...

The item is called MoTDC. If you want one that is available now, go to Autobaccs to get Valvoline Synpower Engine Oil treatment. You need about 4oz per qt of oil.

the liquimoly one is MoS2... issit the same as MoTDC?

MoTDC is better. Valvoline product has tons of the stuff but don't follow the instructions in the bottle and dump the whole thing in. The whole idea is to supplement like using vitamins.

MoTDC is frequently used in engine oil formulation. Some engine oil don't have this stuff in its formulation. Some people feel more comfortable having it in the oil.

Hi Genie47...regarding on this Liquimoly Moly additive, won't it be better to use the LiquiMoly engine oil instead of adding this additive to other brand of engine oil?

Yes, it is better if you use an oil with moly in its formulation. Not many people know which oil have moly in it. Lubromoly is not the only oil that has moly in it. Even RP has moly in it. Mobil 1 confirm does not have moly. Redline has loads of moly.

u referring the M1 5W30 supersyn which does not have moly? is it essential for an engine oil to have moly or is it already substituted by something else in a M1's formulation?

I do not know if they have substituted it with something else.

Some formulations need it, some formulations don't. It is up to you to tinker with if you have money to do so.

Tried before,but very good,but very expensive now,using a local brand "Lupromax" now,not bad,cheaper too,1L just $28.00,can use for 2 servicing.
