From what i hear, a proper SC kit alone will cost you 2~3k, not to mention, there are limited technical garang that can do a proper install/tune without huge fees.

Not saying it cannot be done in singapore, but it'll cost you an arm or a leg (choose 1). Got quotes of $6k~$7k for a good SC kit + install + tune. You can probly spend much lesser ($3k+) on a Turbo kit of a similar ablity

Is $3K just for the turbo kit alone without the installation and tuning charges? Is it a light pressure turbo or full blown turbo?

Who does a good turbo conversion locally?

How much does supercharging a car cost and what components need to be changed besides installing the supercharger?

a brand new SC cost abt $4k+....does not incl other necessary stuffs...

depend on the amt of psi...

the higher it is,the more things u hav to change...

ie:pulley,intercooler,exhaust system,intake system,ecu....etc

u might need a boost controller if running on higher psi....

i guess SC is not like TC....

TC can be use for any cars...but SC,if iam not wrong, there diff brand for diff model...

most popular brand would be the Jackson Racing...

ive seen Mcwell selling but is for Honda cars...

so if u r looking for a workshop dat can customise SC for ur Gen 2,iam not very sure abt dat...maybe SG dun hav...

They will con him to turbocharging the Gen2.

Malaysia, nobody will supercharger.

On supercharging, it is either root pump or centrifuge.

Root, get scrap MB Kompressor.

Centrifuge, Rotrex.

i dont fancy turbo coz of lag and too many parts involved...also ireversible...sc gives immediate boost and high torque at low rpm which i am after

yah sc improve torque n HP throughout the rpm compare to stocks....

for lower end,it still win the turbo hands down....

but when it reach mid to high end,the turbo will be able to make up the lost suffered

in the lower end....

so like u mentioned u r looking for immediate power, then the sc will be ur choice...

so maybe u can search for proton forum to seek help from there....

good luck....btw sc also involve many parts too....

u hav to change ur belting,intercooler....etc....

Rotrex. Sometimes on eBay. Hard to find in Singapore. It is a mechanical turbo. Uses a turbo compressor mated to a pulley.

Root pump. Most MB Kompressors. You will need to custom an intake flange to the intake manifold.

Any which way, all FI configurations will be a pain. TC or SC.

My suggestion is that you buy an already TC or SC car and start from there. It is easier.
