Installing bucket seats

Is there any place where I can install bucket seats at a reasonable price (without destroying the original seats).

?? It is a one to one replacement. unscrew oem seats, screw in bucket, take oem home...

erm....may not be so straight forward hor. first, the seat rails hv to match.

nope, the reclin-able bucket doesn't come with rails.

 

according to one installer, need to take out the rails from the oem seats to modify and destroy the oem seat in the process.

 

I was hoping that I can keep the oem seats intact (in the event that I need to put them back later)

How did your friend change his seats. Did he get seats that already have rails intact?

Not sure, he told me easily done like i said above so i tot every seat the same.

actually I don't understand how ... by removing and modifying the rails, would destroy the oem seats. but thats what the installer said.

coz the rails are welded as part of the OEM seat frame.

If u want a bucket seat & it does not fit into your current setup, u simply have to remove the current oem seat and railing.

Put in new railing and seat. I don't think the current oem seat will be destroyed in the process.

i removed my front seat by unscrewing the nuts.. the rail is on the floor....if remove rail, the most rail cannot use. seat still intact...right?

seats work on a glide and rail system on the floor & seat frame. both muz be compatible.

yup, yup. So if the thread starter concern is to have the seat intact, maybe he want to sell, he still can. the buyer just plug in the seat provided his car is the same.
