Leech Clutched March 28, 2005 Share March 28, 2005 Dunno about the promos... but remember vaguely that was I was told then. Anyway, Orchard is nearest to my home. So obvious choice... Wah, $6 wash and vacuum? Orchard charges $15 I think if I remember right (of course I have not used that service before). ↡ Advertisement

Leech Clutched March 28, 2005 Share March 28, 2005 Dun think so. But you can call them to check. Think Mobil offer is on. Something like use 1000 Smile Points to exchange for some $100-200 voucher... You may want to explore this route otherwise.

Josephtan1234 Neutral Newbie March 30, 2005 Share March 30, 2005 How much did you pay ? The price now is around $600 for a 2L car I think. Way way too high.
Candyhui Neutral Newbie March 30, 2005 Share March 30, 2005 i was given a 10% discount from $488 paying by citibank cc. vios in black(3mths old)! the cust svc exec lady Diana told me tat the price vary depends on wat type/size of car. If higher cc but smaller size then they are charging around $300+ to $400+ and $600 is for suv or mpv type... She managed to persuade me and tat's why i give Glare a try. Svc and polish are and after sale svc also . No regrets!
Josephtan1234 Neutral Newbie March 31, 2005 Share March 31, 2005 Thanks! Maybe when I get tired of polishing my new beloved ride and when its scratchy and dirty, and when they have a 50% promotion again (last Oct, some folks here paid only $200+) I might consider it. Enjoy.
Palioni Neutral Newbie March 31, 2005 Share March 31, 2005 (edited) Please allow me to share my experiences: Had just glared my Colt Plus T at Ubi earlier this afternoon. Despite the many ill comments/impressions in this forum, I went ahead to give it a try, since it's the main branch. IMHO, the folks (Diana and guys) at Ubi had done a fabulous job. They'd gladly tried their best to remove the unsightly petrol stain with diligence. No such things like powder stains etc. Service level is commendably pleasant. On the contrary, was at Groomworks a couple of times. My observations convinced me that Ubi GLARE grooming centre is much cleaner with lesser environmental exposure, not so "open air". You'd never know what may get deposited on your car surface while they polish. In fact, went with many of my colleagues collecting their cars (they mass-ordered since it's near our office) and, to my suprise, I can easily pickup "white powder stains" on the car body! In comparison, Ubi GLARE delivered my car comparatively flawless! No regrets really... Well, sometimes, it may probably takes an understanding customer to appreciate good services....however, isolated cases are usual, i guess... A side note, Groomworks will no longer provide glare service as of 1st April 05, kinda terminated....better take note.... Zino Neutral Newbie April 1, 2005 Share April 1, 2005 Finally i heard good comments on UBI! I thought i was the only one experience it! Althought a newbee here but i have been following the forum consistently and many comments on the Ubi outlet has actually dissaude me from going there, but on second thought, when i read the forum properly and clearly, there is only a handful that posted the comment and it seems wierd why people are comparing which Glare outlet is a better one???? I wonder ........??? When i was there 2 weeks ago for the treatment, i was attended by Diana and was surprisingly impress by her details and knowleadge, though she looks yonug to me, she was so detail that i found out that there is so much defects on my 2 days old toyota and i am ashame of myself! Anyway stay there for the 4 hrs treatment and i must say that they are very professional and detailed. Nothing like what the forum has condemed them of. Even the boss ( Kristoff ) i suppose, consistently checking on the quality of the work done!Let's not elaborate the rest as people will think i am working for them! But i am just one very happy customer who feels the need to speak out, that's all! I agree with you that it takes an understanding customer to appreciate good services but some isolate cases are usual, well said!! Will definitely visit Ubi again!!! Pjct3 Neutral Newbie April 1, 2005 Share April 1, 2005 I was there when Glare just started. The Service is superb. Also, like what zino have said, Kristoff (MD) is detailed and customer service orientated. Learn a lot from him. However, I've not been attended by Diana. So, can't comment. Zino Neutral Newbie April 2, 2005 Share April 2, 2005 Fully agree with you!! Kristoff is very experience and knowlegeble and i learn alot from him also! He really take time to explain in details to you and even educate how to wash your car the proper way . I'm impress! Anyway it nice to see people giving good comments to Ubi and i think it about time to realised it. Keep up the good work Ubi !!!!!
Blackbird Neutral Newbie April 2, 2005 Author Share April 2, 2005 Quote Palioni "A side note, Groomworks will no longer provide glare service as of 1st April 05, kinda terminated....better take note.... " I heard It was Groomworks who terminated the contract with Ubi and not the other way round. So was be some terms which they could not agree on the renewal contract!! Palioni Neutral Newbie April 2, 2005 Share April 2, 2005 Well....it all this "hear say" going around...probably to safe-guard reputation? Objectively, putting ourselves into Glare's perspective, wouldn't it be a conflict of interest that Groomworks are also providing grooming services using other products (guess its Zaino, Auoglym etc)? Similarly, Kentucky would not agree seeing any of their franchisees selling BIG MACs, do they? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that NONE of the other GLARE outlets are doing other products....and thus the disagreements on terms I guess... Regardless of whichever the termination is effected, present customers of groomworks may have concerns on after-care support.
Blackbird Neutral Newbie April 3, 2005 Author Share April 3, 2005 Agreed with u totally..... no doubt about it.... so let's not speculate on whether who terminated who.... is Glare Ubi is so concerned with Groomworks suppying otehr grooming products other than GLare, then he should have terminated Groomworks long time ago and not when the Franchise Contract expired!! So let's not poke our nose into this .... I supposed they just can't meet eye to eye on the new terms n conditions on the renewal.... Just my 2 cents worth.... Zino Neutral Newbie April 4, 2005 Share April 4, 2005 Well said !! I fully agree with you!! Kentucky would not sell Machicken right!! Anyway these is their business so long we know Glare is a good product and is warranty for 18 months and the people in Glare would honour the warranty and that is the main concern Sound funny, how can Groomworks terminate Glare??? It should be the other way round right?
