Foul Smell from outside seeps into car

Hi MCFers,

Has anyone experience foul smell or exhaust fumes seeping into car aircon system? My aircon setting has been set to internal circulation which means no external air should come in. But i notice whenever i tailgate behind those big trucks, i could smell their exhaust fumes. Another occasion when i travel along Hougang Ave 2 where there is some sewage works going on, i could smell those drainage odour in my car.

Hmmz.. Maybe you need to redo your rubber seals liaoz..

as it's an old car, the manual shutter is probably a bit loose by now and hence, not sealing properly. dun tink can do much abt it.

Any aircon specialist to recommend to rectify the rubber seal problem???

I'm sure there is a way to re-tighten it back, if it is simply mechanical shld be easy to resolve but if is rubber seal, it cld be major. As it cld be those aircon foam that is disintegrating or became brittle overtime, not sure either. Any further advice???

maybe so. why dun u juz take it down to some a/c specialist and see how they can help. could be a small thing for all u know.

you also experienced it in your camry? very surprise,i thot only old car have this problem???

will give it a shot, hv check with my usual mechanic also. I was told that it cld be my aircon foam, if it is true then cld be major.....
