personally.....my EP80 is running on turbo diesel oil....it depends very much on engine. Mobil 1 for a start is good. But the best expert on this matter is Genie....trust his reputation.

15W40. You can get Delvac MX locally but Delo 400 can be bought from the Caltex station just before the checkpoint in JB. Another good option is Castrol GTX 15W40. As long as it is 15W40, it is OK for a KP60. What engine is yours? 1K, 2K or 4K? sly.gif

I'm using Delvac MX, currently 2nd time in a row. Although engine is running smoothly and FC seems to have improved compared to when I was using 20W50 Havoline, but somehow I feel the oil is not 'oily' enough.

Meaning, when I check the oil level using the dipstick, the engine oil is not clinging onto the dipstick evenly......although can identify the level, but somehow not all the dipstick below the engine oil level is covered when I pulled out the dipstick to check the oil level. I remember when using 20W50 Havoline there's no such phenomena.sweatdrop.gif

Anyway, last weekend bought 2 bottles of cxxxxxe (SL grade) from Carrefore, and will be switching over once I used up my remaining Delvac MX (still got 4 litres leftover). smile.gif

If there is a leak, you put any oil it will also leak. I will not recommend any brands but a good grade for Singapore driving and this weather is 10W30. If you can find a monograde SAE30 will be a real cake. I think MCF is ordering the synthetic Amsoil SAE30/10W30 SACD oil. Other than that, you hardly can find a synthetic let alone mineral SAE30 easily.

10W30 is good. If you are not racing, mineral 10W30 will do too if you are cash strapped. Synthetic will be nice but the small oil sump for the Starlet will mean that you cannot extend OCIs past 10k km.
