in Air cond, air is compressed, cool down with air/coolant, then expand to cool down further. so it's a compression/expansion cycle also [thumbsup]

Like you have said, you don't want the AC compressor to compress the refrigerant at an inefficient pump cycle. You will waste energy and not transfer your refrigerant.

 

It is easier to plan a pump for an AC than a turbocharged vehicle. An AC pump operates in a consistent manner while a turbo compressor varies.

 

The whole idea for plotting your engine load points on the map is to find the best match. It is difficult to obtain a perfect match. A best match will do fine.
