I have test driven it when it was 1st launched and had another look a couple weeks ago. Nothing has changed so far. Not a well-balance car. Good in handling, road holding, responsive gear change and relatively good brake and engine......but very very poor interior built quality.

exterior sporty look and c/w 4 disc brakes [thumbsup]

decents sprint and FC, good soundproof, great value of money car in 1.6L CAT [thumbsup]

If that's ur budget, I suggest go for it.

If u can spend more, maybe a Japan car like the outgoing lancer, nissan sunny or a toyota vios would be a good choice. if u can up the budget.

Else, koreans are good alternatives like the kia Rio or the hyundai Verna(Although looks ugly IMO).

From the last QQ and Geely 156 that I've touched, I feel that there's no quality build at all. When u close the door u can feel that the door might damage the body of the car when u slam it.

Gen2 looks gd too, i would have chosen it, if my budget is within that range.

"Gen2 = M'sia car = Lousy"

what to do? unlike you, got money to buy good cars..

pardon me, what car you driving?

maybe that person who say gen 2 is lousy cannot even afford a QQ. there are always people making such useless comments.

__________________________________________________________

Gen2=M'sia car=Proton=less reliable=spend more for maintain/repair

=lower resale value=risk of close of the factory in near future=expensive parts..

if u have $$$ can buy one. [thumbsup]

Can't fully agree with you bro, I own a Gen2 as well, and it is my 1st car till now, it's been 4 years+ now, and i hardly spend uncessary money to maintain/repair beside the regular routine maintain such as timing belt, air-con belt etc.

My only draw back for the car is it high fuel consumption, and mid touqe issue in which (need to rev higher for pick up). i still love the and infact i'm going to get skirting and later change the whole exhast system as well. Hopefully all this can tackle the low touqe issue.

By the way i own a Auto unit [flowerface]

Cheers

Wow! I started this thread 4.5 years ago & it is still going strong.

Consolidating all the info into a single thread is much better than splitting into many different threads, easier to find info.

Keep it up! [thumbsup]

Understand that the Sin Agent is left with one manual Proton Gen 2 and will only bring new facelift in after the last car is sold.

Hi any bros,

Anyone know where to get the replacement for the fuel tank release lever (Black sprint like gadget at the fuel refilling point) as it is broken and now can't open my fuel refilling cover unless with another person helping me to pry open when i pull the fuel flap in my car...
