Hcgiv942 Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Share November 27, 2002 I need recommendation on lowering spring. currently have some brand in mind after calling the various mod shop. (1) merwede $280 (2) terra $280 (3) voltland $350 (4) tanabe $450( model should be DF210) Anyone of you use the above spring b4? can command on them? I am more bias towards comfort than hardcore performance(super hard type) ↡ Advertisement
Zolidlim Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Share November 27, 2002 Actually I think it depends on what u want, and what suits yr car... They come in various sz, thickness, etc.... Heard of Hotbits? It cost $200, and another from FongKim, a Holland brand, I think...also $200.

Mondeo Neutral Newbie November 28, 2002 Share November 28, 2002 Why dun consider the whole supension system, like Tokico also a good choice.

Hotcake Neutral Newbie November 28, 2002 Share November 28, 2002 You may consider KW coilover I think is about $1800 to $2000 Sport and comfort
Mondeo Neutral Newbie November 28, 2002 Share November 28, 2002 Wah KW quite exp$$ , then rather go for Sachs kits at least half of the price
Diesel 1st Gear November 28, 2002 Share November 28, 2002 U can get (2) Terra Springs at Waterloo for less than $200 but at that kind of price, i won't place too much hope for them to perform or last Of the list i personally would go for Tanabe. I myself order a set of Teins, due to arrive next month. Prior to Tein i had seriously considered Eibach (Prokit). I guess for a good set of springs u can't scrimp too much. Last time was quoted $160...But i think it's better to give Terra a miss...

GDIzen Neutral Newbie November 29, 2002 Share November 29, 2002 Hey, you are running Eibach Pro-Kit also, any signs of sagging so far? Did you do the shocks as well? My previous Jap rides used Terra that saggggggged, but the Tanabe's were shiok.... Now, with Continental makes, no choice but to go for either Sachs, Eibach or KW. Vtim 3rd Gear November 29, 2002 Share November 29, 2002 What I can say about Eibach Pro-Kit is . So far no sagging I'm still using the original shocks to retain a bit of comfort ride as there are no replacement shocks for the front as yet. The Koni's for the front replacement need a fair bit of work as only the cartridge is replace & need to drill/cut the sleeves (need to used back the sleeves). For conti rides, Eibach springs + Sachs touring is the best combi for comfort & handling I remember reading somewhere that Sachs springs are actually OEM from Eibach ↡ Advertisement
