If the box thingy turns out oo exp... i think i'll just route the cone nearer to the front... using 3" flexible duct (can buy from Speedworks at $13/ft). And live with the induction noise!!! [shakehead]

Going to Man's tomorrow morning to see if he can help.

I think 10am should be the "earliest" hour for auto workshops to open for biz... though to me it's already half the day gone [laugh]

Hope it'll not be as crowded the last time i went there (on a Sat morn too...10 plus)

See ya!!! [;)]

I also interested to do something like the blockage kind to prevent hot air into my Cone filter which I change in Malaysia. I find the car is lighter and smoother to drive in rainy days as the reponse is better.

I guess it is because of the cooler air into the air filter so anyone can help me on creating the blocking kind of stuff? Do contact me on 98248801, thanks!

U can go to the DIY shop or tools & material shop for the silver color duct..cheaper alot.

Noted, thanks! [thumbsup]

Actually, t've tried asking some hardware shops about some 3" conduit, but none have them... The piping from Speedworks is dark in color, fire-retardant, and is quite stiff (good for maintaining the shape of the pipe)... so i might just settle for that. 2 feet should be enuff for me.

Frankly, Sound insulation should be worth to spend, not only for engine noise, but city noise. U can quietly to listen your ICE after installed. [thumbsup]

I also hate the noise. [whip]

I've soundproofed my car earlier this year using bitumen sheets [sunny] ... back-breaking 1-man job for 10 hours [knife] ... but the results were satisfying [thumbsup] Also got the chance to "know" my car inside out [laugh]

The ride became quieter... but now using cone filter, so noise level went up... another alternative i have in mind is to further soundproof the front areaa, near the firewall... [confused]
