Even dropping the pan, u still have quite alot of atf in the upper section of the AT.

Still need to do a flush to get that atf out of the system.

That's why I only do a flush nowadays.

Just called up ProServ, they are charging about $168 for ATF flush.

For my case can I do the flush cause I just changed the oil about

If u just did a normal drain & fill at ST, let it run for a while.

Did u mention earlier that they screw up & drian only, then they add 2 lit more to clean & fill?

Then sud b ok, as you already removed quite alot of the ATF. Maybe u can use for 20K km more, then do a flush. Don't waste your $$$.

If the oil they put in is good, u sud feel a lot of difference from before & after.

And remember to check your ATF level every week for the next few weeks, just to make sure the level is correct & there's no leak after the fill at ST.

Actually did not feel any difference after the change,

that's why I am thinking of going to ProServ since

they are one of the service agent for Mazda. And I

am driving a Ford Laser.

Aiyah. ST ProServ all the same one.

I told you I go to KATC, talk to the person in charge & if u feel good, let them do.

I've been driving for more than 25 years & had my fair share of crappy workshops.

If the person in charge does not have the time to talk to u & explain things, 99% of the time, they do not value your business & u prob get crappy service.

Look for a w/shop u r comfortable with where u can complain if u not happy & they will try their best to rectify for u.

Some w/s only want your $$$. Customer service is plain sh*t. When got problem, they bo-chap. Ai Mai, Mai Suak attitude. Your $$$ already in their pocket. [furious][furious]

What makes u thing the agent will give u good service? I've tried agents b4. Worse among the worse.

U have changed quite alot of ATF already. If got no diff, then the oil ST gave u is bargain basement oil which was what I was trying to warn u about.

Let it run for about a year then do a proper flush at a RELIABLE w/s. Try to get your own good oil (synthetic) to put in. The mechs will respect u as they can see u know your stuff .

I was told that they used Mit Darqueen (maybe spell wrong but sound like) as Matrix originally used. I dont know who is Albert. [sweatdrop]

Diaqueen is the type of ATF used mainly for mitsubishi engines.

Albert used to b in-charge of the woodlands branch. He nice guy & gave me lotsa goodies when I serviced my AT there.

Hopefully he's still with KATC.

KATC used their machine to connect to in "series" to the ATF line. AS you said, the old oil would flow out into the machine's container while replacing with the new.

They just key in the amount of fluid to be swapped out into the machine. Then it is automatic. If I remember correctly, there's even 2 clear glass tubes to show the oil flow and colour of ATF being swapped out.

They didn't even touch the drain plug nor drop the pan to clean inside........ [:|] They wanted to change the screw on ATF filter but I declined as they did not carry the original.... [:/]

Hi Guys, really am a newbie here. was recommended by my mechanic to do a complete flush of my car's (Airtrek non turbo, about 40,000 km +. said it cost about S$200.

Have not decided yet, is it worth it ir should I just drain the ATF and refill it?

I need your advise, tnks!!

It is up to you. Some people are comfortable with a flush. Some people are comfortabel with a change. But flush is better if you covered a long mileage.
