yo, anyone know any place which does carbon fibre box for apexi open pod?

currently my apexi open pod (even with heat shielding) still take in some hot air.

was advice to enclose the whole thing and hook it directly to the CAI.

anyone know any workstation doing custom carbonfibre/fibreglass box to enclsoe it?

pm me , thanks

Can try talk to AD (Raymond) about it. If you dun wanna have foam and stainless steel to heatshield your pod, maybe you can ask him to do a fibreglass one for you.

A totally enclosed heat shield, although sounds good, may not be that great an idea practically, as it cuts off way too much air supply, no matter hot or cold air. Talk to experienced tuners like Max, for their views..

i have already done proper heatshielding.

it's good to an extent....probly reduced heat to the intake area by 90% + when riding and 25~50% when idling..

a rough drawing attached

Was advice, to do a proper box..to achieve vacuum effect so as to get more out of CAI

Have tried to enclose the whole area using thermal heat shielding..but it seem like the area is even hotter..then my current setup..i believe due to heat trapped inside unable to go out..that's why i left part of the area exposed...

Hi there, did you manage to heatshield your Apexi at the end? One option is to do a CAI for the filter. I am comtemplating doing it for my IS200. Looking for Raymond too.

I have seen a bro who use a toyo plastic for his box, just connect the other end to the CAI.

if scared hot, stick a layer of insulation form around the toyo plastic container.

for me..my box is entirely made up of heatshield material. no plastic or box..

just DIY and have 2 hole - 1 for the pipe to open pod and 1 for the CAI tube to go in.

so far..quite good.

Heard Apexi has closed shop. Wonder whether the support for the current product will die off eventually.

HA,LOOKS like goodman are always being talk about. raymond is definitely a nice guy. he help me install the open-pod filter in like less then an hour. No GST Charged and its my first time being at his shop. will definitely recommend his shop to others,. but too bad his place is too far from my home and workplace. I frequent to SILENT PRO now, had my heatsheild mod there at only 70bucks. you can try there, close at 10pm daily, probably the only garage that is open at this hour.
