Technically the Forester 2.5XT is fantastic; but the shape/looks....yaak! The facelifted front makes it look like a pick-up truck. What a shame; otherwise it will be my #1 choice for a SUV.

I agree with u, Forrester looks so passe and fugly, cant stand it at the front or back.

hi bro, ic....so yours is the "G" or "M" model. Seems to me the "G" version is a good buy now as it comes with all the premium stuffs. Wondering hows's AWD. It has three mode of selections rite. Does that means if u were to drive 2WD most of the time, u will save petrol more..........

Well both Forester 2.5XT and Outlander are top notch to me.....just IMHO. Had shortlised new Rav4 too but decided to drop it due to the plain look although it has increases in size.

Yup the new RAV4 looks plain and no longer looked stylish and sensational as the previous model.

Saw a light color new Outlander at Marine Parade this morn - first time seeing one on the road. Find the rear end design not that appealing. It is a big SUV.

same feeling, the rear LED lamps tho looked futuristic but it has a frowning and compact

look... like some sort of japanese imp frowning on you... but nevertheless it is still the

best looking amoung Rav4, CRV and Forrester.

Hi,

I was considering to buy the Outlander few weeks ago, but when I was in Bangkok last week, I saw a lot of Mitsubshi pick ups, with the front of the Outlander (exactly the same), and the body of a pickup. That's it, I will go for a Harrier now.

Rgds

oh is it? u mean the front is EXACTLY the same as the Outlander?

are u refering to this??

Damn, I just noticed the service function on the computer was not reset. The display is still showing "Periodic Servicing" warning... Damn, damn.. Need to go back again tomorrow morning to have it reset..

Probably the mechanics still very new to the car. Will watch out for my service computer status when I collect my car after servicing next week.

How about the vouchers, any issue with the labour/part charges?

hmm... I thought most cars that have realtime FC meters can calculate average.

while those cars that have average FC may not have real time FC readings. Maybe there is a toggle button/switch for you to adjust like in most car that comes with it, u can check your manual.

Hmm.. will read up again. Thanks!

Hiyo.

Now then i see this thread. Anyway i bought the Outlander and have been driving it for about 6mths and previously I was driving a Toyota MPV of 1.6cc.

So far the car is quite good. Compared to my Toyota previously it handles much better. When u take corners u will be suprised how good it holds its line and how little row there is. And mine u my Toyota was running 17" with 205/45/17 !!!

I also agree with the review given by another user in this thread. But for the travelling more than 120km/h....I dunno cos I have never hit these speeds. My max was 110km/h on our expressways and there were still no signs of MPV like drifting.

But my car has so dumb problem just 6mths in. When I turn to almost 3/4 i will hear tick tick sound...then i disappears...wonder if this is normal.

Then when i turn right up a MSCP I would hear a quite loud tick sound like the panels moving or something....not the suspension cos the car so new and i have been quite gentle. Then the front sus when going over humps seems to have some wierd sound and getting louder. I tried to ask C&C to trouble shoot the panel ticking sound but it came back to me as expected...can't ID the problem..so just checked and lube!!! Sighs.

Then my car is drifting to the left...this not such a big problem i think.

But overall is good to drive but lacks quality to me compared to my Toyota.

Hi,

No, what I saw in Bangkok is not as fierce as the Mitsubishi I200. It is the Outlander's front look, quite sure.

Thus far Tazzy and myself are riding on the new 2007 Outlander. Please check our posts in this thread for the FC.

Is your Outlander 4WD Turbo?

Hey Ac,

The service meter was reset to 6,000km. Not sure why this is so but the SA says its normal. Kindly check yours when you have done your servicing.

I am pretty regular to Bangkok (on business of course [:)] ) Don't remember seeing similar front look pick-ups there. Anywhere, get the Ralliart grills. I saw the catalogue for it, looks pretty cool. Check out this link.

You should be able to get this at the Ralliart counter at Leng Kee. I am still waiting for my $500 voucher to redeem.

Cheers!

seems like the 2007 highway cruising has better FC than mine. even with SAFC2 and oversize tyres, my FC is still not good.

anyway, mine is 2.4l NA. don't recall there's a turbo version for outlander

Storm is available in Malaysia leh. I like that model but unfortunately:

1. I cannot drive a Malaysian car in Singapore

2. It is not available in Singapore

3. even if its available, damn leceh to drive to Malaysia because it will be a commercial registered vehicle.

But the Storm looks damn big leh.. Bigger than the Outlander.
