Hi,

Most of the foreign car audio forum called the Lanzar crap [:|] with the exception of the Opti/Opti-Drive series which is labelled as decent.

No offence but this is the info I've got.

A friend of mine can get the HTG424 for $250 (export set). Let me know if you're interested.

Hi,

IMO, it would be better to locate a good used amp rather than buying a new but mediocre one.

I've actually compared the HTG424 with some of the old school amps. No comparison at all, the drive, tonality, clarity are so much better with the old school amps.

Unless you willing to cough out good $ for good new gear, a good used one offer superior quality.

I am sure most of the experienced ICE sifu will agree, keke [laugh] !

FYI, a lot of the old school amps are under-rated whereas many of the newer ones are over-rated (actual power output are less than claimed figures).

This question quite difficult to answer.

There were many good reputable brands in the 90's like PPI, Rockford Fosgate, Orion, Nakamichi, Soundstreams, a/d/s, Hifornics, Xtant, Audio Art, etc.

However, quite a few these brands went under or were bought over by other companies in the late 90's onwards and that's when the quality of the product become questionable. Many are now design & made in China, Korea, Taiwan, SE Asia.
