Went for 1st servicing (1000km) today, Starsauto gave me Mobil Super XHP 20W50 engine oil, will that be too thick for a new car? I thought it is normally advisable to use a thinner oil for new car to run-in?

Next servicing, bring your own oil. 20W50 will kill your new engine. Use 10W30 or 5W30 if you can find them. Chevy owners use Royal Purple or Conoco Hydroclear Super All Season Diamond 5W30.
