How to remove front Chevy emblem properly?

Just wondering whether anyone has tried removing the front Chevy emblem (on grill) from an Optra before? I thought of removing it for a little experiment but don't know how to take it out properly, and afraid I'll spoil or break it in the process.

 

Anyone can advice?

i think the replacement grill is selling quite cheap, <$50.

 

so go ahead and have fun! trial and error! in worst case, just buy a new grill

But I only want to remove the logo emblem, not the grill. Know how to take it out?

dat's wat tien mean....since de grill is cheap...jus try peeling it out.so even if u spoil de grill...can easily buy de replacement.

Nah, I won't spoil the grill, the most spoil the logo. I tried for a few minutes yesterday but couldn't get it out. Think I must use a little force, but at least I must know the correct technique, otherwise like you said, spoil logo and grill then must pay $50, a bit sayang right?

ya, the emblem is nice, but for some like myself, prefer the no logo look... so far my past 2 car and current car all debadged.

 

Not too sure abt the chevy emblem. For me, I use dental floss slowly work my way thru between the emblem and car body (like flossing between your tooth...) no damage to car body and emblem, not even a single scratch...

I debadged all my emblems on my previous ride too, and sometimes even replaced it with something else. But those were easy to remove, but I'm not sure how the Chevy logo is secured, is it just a simple double sided tape or is there a catch somewhere?

i think they stapled the logo to the grill...look for the staplets...hehehee
