Eyke Supercharged February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 Quote As it is (stock), it is probably the best road holding, great for corners and high-speed cruising. There are lots of readily-available parts from the WRX lying around due to owners upgrading their Rexes, from engine, handling, brakes to looks. Isn't Focus a better handling car than the Impreza? Don't forget that adding significant power to the Impreza by either engine swap or turbo is illegal. It's game over if you get caught... ↡ Advertisement

It's game over if you get caught... agree with you on the handling on Focus, even I've yet to test drive the Imprezza but we have one member, Magfocus, who have owned & driven both the Focus & MY03 REX and according to him, the steering feel and feedback is better on the Focus than the REX, if I remember correctly
Magfocus 5th Gear February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 (edited) Yes, you remembered correctly! The MY03 WRXs' steering felt numb in comparison..although grip was alot better..being AWD. Edited February 10, 2005 by Magfocus
Vtim 3rd Gear February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 best is to have both, good steering feel & handling, if both not available, I'll choose good steering feel over handling anytime
Magfocus 5th Gear February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 Usually if they bother to engineer good steering feel in a car, the handling wouldnt be too far away... To me they usually go hand in hand..
Ahlim Neutral Newbie February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 Safer to do the turbo, $500 fine if caught. FWD handling better than AWD with low CG boxer?

Linus Clutched February 10, 2005 Share February 10, 2005 recently, i got the chance to drive a bug-eye TS. the steering was super light. even my 323 feels much heavier. but the TS has got minimal body roll over corners. comparable to the focus in that area. my 323... rolls like hell....
