Bluesbro Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 Get a Vios? 1-100 under 10 secs! Cheaper somemore! Think its becoz the car is light ... so accelration tends to be better For long distance and drives up north, dun think dis car wld be good to drive at high speeds ... for one the small & light Vios wld be highly vulnerable to cross winds ... have test drove one before, and its handling isn't really upto par and expectations .. overall this wld not be a car that can maintain high speeds and handle corners comfortably and confidentally .. unless u do alot of mods ... which by then would defeat the purpose, as you would surely be better off buying a better car in da first plc.. Ahlim Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 but not every ppl can afford a WRX, especially the insurance sometimes i also accelerate like maniac, these things cannot control one lar Agree with you. Although base WRX now only ~95K, insurance & maintenance is alot.
Ahlim Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 Can someone please tell me how much can a 1.6TS be modifed and tuned? any owner of a tuned and mod 1.6TS owner? please give your personal experience and the places that does the tuning. currently 0 to 100 12 sec how much faster can it accelerate? Depth of wallet determines the "true capability" of the 1.6TS. As it is (stock), it is probably the best road holding, great for corners and high-speed cruising. There are lots of readily-available parts from the WRX lying around due to owners upgrading their Rexes, from engine, handling, brakes to looks. You may be able to buy a base WRX very cheaply now (~95K), but don't forget the insurance getting higher after recent accidents involving the Rex. En0203 2nd Gear February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 Agree with you. Although base WRX now only ~95K, insurance & maintenance is alot. yea, cannot just look at the car price, the hidden cost is too deep liao
Ahhan7 Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 but they can change the fenders too? dont think they will go to the extend of changing the fenders. the smart ppl will forget the fenders, throw the money on modding the engine.
Ahhan7 Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 dun look at the brakes. they can change the brakes. too ex to change the brakes to Brembo lar! most of them just buy those caliper covers with Brembo words on it. The Pot on the Brembo are almost the diameter of a Coke can whereas those caliper covers are small 50ct coin diameter yes yes, i know. thats y i say dun look at brakes.
