what sort of cloth can absorb a lot of water? Using normal ones.....not very good [:/]

One fellow fordclubsg member recommended me Aion PlasChamosis. Its a a rubbery cloth and comes in hardcover casing. think it cost ard 10 bucks of normal size one and 20 odd bucks for big one. U can get it at stamford tyres. Normal one is in a clear translucent bottle, whereas big one is in a yellow opaque bottle casing.

been using it since then, great, one swipe and it absorbs all water. but be careful on how u wash it, as ever heard of it shrank when someone used dynamo.

I don't think will leave scratches. I won't mind so much even if it does leave superfacial scratches. Washing or rinsing frequently is just too time consuming for me. Getting others wash or groom hurts pocket too much [bigcry]

I am contended as long as the car's interior is clean and the exterior is not jialat like just come back from rally [:)]

Guys, i got a new silver camry.

I parked in an open lot at my work place. factory.

At it is near a main road, it gets very dusty at the end of the day.

I keep my car clean for the weekend after saturday washing. but after one day park at work, there is a layer of dust on my car.

IS it advisable to dust off the dust using a feather duster at the end of each day? OR

wait until i wash again at the end of the week; whilst i splash it off with water.

Advice appreciated. Thanks [;)]

eh dun la......

If I see a guy using feather duster on his car exterior, I will find that action very sissy.....

Sometimes, a car with some dust and dirt look quite macho.

A lot of hired drivers do that for the bosses' XJ or S500.

Hi, I used to apply a layer of Autoglm Gloss Protection. Then when I got a 5-year Merc, I went for GLARE (about $600 then). Now I just changed my car and revert to Autoglm Gloss Protection. I am happy with Autoglym. You see, with a new car, I don't need waxing and polishing. What I need is a layer of protection for the new paintwork. This, I get via Autoglm Gloss Protection. It last about 1 month, easy to apply (1 hour whole car DIY) and most importanly it has a 'feel good' 'shiok shiok' smooth touch on the finish. It's so smooth that not much dust sticks to it. And makes dusting with feather duster and washing easy. I've shared this with many friends and all are happy. A bottle cost about $21 on offer (sometimes at NTUC, or AutoBacs or Stamford), $26 non-offer. 4-litre version at previous Singapore Motorshow @$60

Hi Brother,

I hv one but take note this kind of duster is not suitable for Singapore's weather. [thumbsdown]

Our weather is hot & humid while their country is cool & dry. Most important is dry

weather [thumbsup] and make the dust more easy to dust away.

i use a feather duster between washes. You have to be quite light handed or you may leave scratches. I do it coz my car is black and dust is extra visible... Too tiring to wash every other day... [;)]

Great answer ! With the right technique, a feather duster is even better than microfiber in taking of newly settled dust. However, if the dust was moist and dried up (ie, after rain)...I would highly recommend a car wash.
