Turbobrick Neutral Newbie March 24, 2002 Share March 24, 2002 Whenever I open my vents for outside air, my A/C blows out some mist like vapor as well. Issit just condensation from the humid outside air or should I be worried??? Doesn't happen if the recirculation is closed. ↡ Advertisement

Stepper Neutral Newbie March 24, 2002 Share March 24, 2002 last time my car have the same problem, turn out to be thermostat(a box containing a piece of chip) spoil cannot control temp so compressor on all the time, therefore too cold therefore the mist. Turbobrick Neutral Newbie March 25, 2002 Author Share March 25, 2002 I don't think there's a cabin thermostat as my has not auto climate control. When I turn the temp control to warmer the air becomes less cool as well, so the shutters for the temp control is still ok. Thanks for the tip! Cheers! Ek3stage 1st Gear December 17, 2002 Share December 17, 2002 For those curious, if always got vapor no matter what, likely the heater core is corroded and spoilt. This is very uncommon but if it happens it means one never regulate the temp often, always leave it cold means condensation will occur and cause corrosion. ↡ Advertisement
