Lightspeed Clutched January 29, 2005 Author Share January 29, 2005 Actually...we do need... to have a powerful car... to overtake the many road hoggers who think that because of the zillion traffic lights, cameras and TP, they have the right to travel at insane low speeds

FURTHERMORE THERE ARE MORE TRAFFIC CAMERA AND TP ON THE LOOK OUT NOWADAY.........HEE ...HEE........ ________________________________________________________________________________ __________ Wah... you maybe a bit rough on your words man as you will be offending all car euthusiants and tuners / workshops in Singapore!!! For those who can afford a Turbo Car, they can feel the leisure and not much headache for over taking, changing lane, joining the main road especially on highways, climb up ECP highway before Rochor exit and more to come... More car dealers and distributors are bringing in TC Cars now which will be more on the road in time to come... But because of the Price tag and insurance, most of them held back which I believe it's a matter of time the price will be more affordable... If anybody can afford a TC car, I see no reason what's stopping them... Modifications will be a option to those TC car owners... A single upgrade will gain them appro. 30 to 40hp on the crank... therefore, most of them will prefer this way of upgrading which they can define as in how may horsepower per dollar... The rest of the mod will depend how deep their pockets are... Edited January 29, 2005 by Skodarr
Genie47 1st Gear January 29, 2005 Share January 29, 2005 (edited) Actually his statement makes perfect sense. It is crushing to drive in Singapore. Yes TC cars are being brought in but how much of that power are you able to use a day? Overtaking is one and climbing Benji's Bridge are one of the few things. Still pretty crushing to drive here. Skodarr Neutral Newbie January 29, 2005 Share January 29, 2005 Everybodies' statement makes sense depending how you put across the forum... No hard feelings, since it's crushing to drive here, park your car nearby a MRT or interchange to take public transport... Again since it's crushing, then reach your destination faster lau... Again it's more crushing if you manage to park in a CBD shopping centre to endure higher parking charges, FC and more... Just my 0.00002 cts... Skodarr Neutral Newbie January 30, 2005 Share January 30, 2005 Yo man... manage to meet these riders on the road... Quite fierce and aggressive that does not really practice safety and endanger ppl's life on the road... furthermore, their ride is not as powerful enough to overcome the process which it's just that they are playing against their guts.... Renegade Neutral Newbie January 31, 2005 Share January 31, 2005 and the Phaeton dip stick probably cracks and breaks too! You mean Phaeton owners will be plagued with such trivial issues, too ? But, seriously, from some angles, it does look like a Passat.....right ?
Fluffy Clutched January 31, 2005 Share January 31, 2005 (edited) i think the plastics come from the same bin, probably same plastics type, diff shape lah....... which means same craking problem .. crap! A, dunno if it does look like a passat, but the shape generally is like a passat, the front however, is pretty boxy, and kinda "oldish" like a cefiro for my liking, but i haven't seen it in the flesh yet, may change my mind heh heh, but the possibliities of modding the 1.8T and still have space for family and to silence the in-laws of not enuff space in the rear is just Edited January 31, 2005 by Fluffy

If there is, then it's the discipline of the drivers themselves... When pay monkeys, then will get peanuts... TC and NA cars share almost the same wear and tear level as well as maintenace. Well, when accident occurs, the insurance company is the one to pay except the excess will be bound by the insurer which will also depends on the verdict for who's has the right of way... ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE. Yes sir, agreed. Hopefully the car price will be affordable down the road. Need to retake driving test? Why?
