Other than piggy back chip, it is possible to flash the ECU. Dennis from Auto Spritze offers this service. He will send the code to Germany and download the amended code into the ECU. Not sure if it works the same as Revo? Power improvement for VAG cars around 40+ HP as well. Anyway cost more than a piggy back.

Can't remember the exact name but it sounds something like M Tech. The argument of flashing is that there are no soldering involved thus eliminating one possible problem.

Looks like this is it...Can't read German but I reckon you got the right site.

 

Dennis is a business man so no doubt he will attempt to maximise his profits. Anyway, he had tuned quite a few Mercs using this from what I heard.
