Scotty Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 Getting my car soon and was wondering which would be a good choice for a white car. As long the shine can tahan for at least 4-5 months it would be good. Budget is around $400+ thereabouts to cover 18 mths. Is glare a good choice? or Zaino better for white cars? or any other brands? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
Papercup Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 From what I know from people over at Glare and Groomworks, dark colored cars are more suitable for Glare and Zaino.

Blackbeauty Neutral Newbie January 15, 2005 Share January 15, 2005 i agree black cars are more glossy with these sealants..but white cars need them too...to prevent it from turning yellow...although less obvious.... glare got 18mths warranty..nt very sure abt zaino... Dtvox Neutral Newbie January 17, 2005 Share January 17, 2005 (edited) Hi Scotty White cars do not need the mirror light effect as the black cars. As long as you keep the surface smooth and protect it with a layer of polish/wax, it should be ok. I am currently using the Meguiar range of product. Clay bar, Auto Detailer, Polish, Wax, etc. It is working well compared to products such as Soft99. (some people may disagree but I did try it before) You can try DIY. Its a good way to kill time (if you have any to spare) and not to mention a good workout. Best part is the satisfaction in seeing your car glow after the session. BTW, my car is white. Watoke Neutral Newbie February 11, 2005 Share February 11, 2005 Try "Tough Seal"..cheap and good. It works the same as Zaino. Zaino is good, a little pricey. For me I dun DIY, so I just send my car to Tough Seal to wash and vacumm and they will use the "wash & guard" over the car body. www.toughseal.com.sg

BTW, my car is white. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, my car is white too. Just paid a coutesy visit to Groomworks(heard from Detailing folder) this afternoon. They do used several types of products, Zaino, Autoglym etc... They recommended Autoglym for white car. Thought of getting them to do my new ride first then after that DIY. But was wondering after using Autoglym, do I need to stick with that or can I change to other brands as I heard Autoglym quite troublesome to DIY. Dtvox Neutral Newbie September 28, 2005 Share September 28, 2005 Autoglym should be great for white cars...in fact I heard from detailing 'gurus' that it is ideal. Personally, I had not tried Autoglym so can't comment much here. But if you are sending your car to Groomworks, then you should be fine. Heard good things about them...
