Hansia Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 (edited) Drop in air filter and voltage stabilisers usually ok. ATF cooler and fiddling with ECU will void warranty. So basically dont touch the engine or gearbox and you shld be fine. Other stuff changed must be within specs of the car - wheels, suspensions, etc. Edited January 14, 2005 by Hansia

Osiris 1st Gear January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 u should really call BM and asked what mods u have in mind and if that void warranty.
Buzz Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 Having heard anything bad about Toyota yet. Friend got a G9, regular visitor to Mcwell, fitted almost every after market stiff you can think of. But then he did not claim any warranty. Toyota owners please comment. DarkLord 1st Gear January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 As most dealers, BM will try to find fault with you if you ever need to claim warranty. Be it the engine, gears, suspension, rims... Generally, the rule of thumb is to keep the stock parts that you changed and put them back if you need to claim anything! Some hardcore modders just forgo the warranty! One thing to note, if you changed your rims, please make sure it's a +1 upgrade. Anyhting more, warranty is affected.

Buzz Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 Imagine you got drive train issues "Oh cos you touch your head unit affect the car electrical supplies, upset the ECU, power fluctuation kill your drive train........... blah blah blah............" Buzz Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 Some are reasonable, like with my Ford, change exhaust, mod intake, grounding, they din say anything and still ask how is the car after these changes. I went back to them with suspension problem, no question asked just changed out the lower arm.
Thepukster Neutral Newbie January 14, 2005 Share January 14, 2005 Quote Hi all, i am pretty new to the motoring world, so would like to find out what kinda mods u can do to your stock car and what kinda mods you can't do otherwise warranty voided. Thanks! Warm rgds Usually add-ons are okay, replacement might get your warranty void. However, you can always revert back to original parts when you are claiming your warranty. They will not "black-mark" your modded car if it for servicing.
