Skywalker Neutral Newbie January 12, 2005 Share January 12, 2005 Anyone can advise how much gain we can get from piggyback ECU (e.g. Orbit) on N/A auto car? Worth the money? ↡ Advertisement
Ferrariz Neutral Newbie January 12, 2005 Share January 12, 2005 not too sure on auto car, but it largely depends on your mod. have you done enuff mods on your ride to make it worth getting the piggyback ecu? example : highflow exhaust and intake system, with that you probly can get about 25% extra power with a good tuner...40% if tuner is expert with your type of car. if you have done only light mods, like CAI, Lighten pulley+flywheel, and what not, then probly only increase power by 5~10% Note : all above information are my views after talking to a tuner in jb. take it with a pinch of salt , thank you
Elfenstar 3rd Gear January 12, 2005 Share January 12, 2005 try an ecu remap first coz there are less problems in the long run and much cheaper than a piggyback.
Fuzzylogic 2nd Gear January 12, 2005 Share January 12, 2005 How do you remap the stock ecu?
Normal_aspirated Clutched January 12, 2005 Share January 12, 2005 wat i noe factory stock ecu mapping for wider range of fuel octane so that production cost be lowered for world market, regardless of 3rd world to developed ones. Imagine most japs cars can still take from ron90 to ron98 without any pinking. Tats why need piggy bags..... ↡ Advertisement
