hi its me again, wan yr opinion on engine oil issue. getting 1.3 wira OPC. as i anticipate very little use of the car so the run in period will be rather long & also car most of the time will be parked. shld i juz go w the original mineral oil e car is delivered with till 5K then chg to syn oil or shld i upon delivery chg to syn oil so even when parked for long time the syn oil is still (hopefully) coating the engine parts & even at 1st start engine inner surfaces is protected? or shld i go somewhere in between like use car more regularly then chg to syn at mayb 1K? my concern is engine protection during run in period. appreciate all opinions, Thks

You should use the mineral oil as per delivered and maybe change to Syn upon 1K delivery.

I was using 10W40 for almost 2 years. Have changed to 5W30 recently and realise my FC is improving.

so yr opinion is juz drive w the mineral oil till 1K then chg to syn. but my 1k may be longer then 3 mths if based on OPC hrs of usage, so i guess u are suggesting i drive more initially to quicken the run in, hit 1K chg to syn then juz go on normal OPC usage? thks
