Kityip 1st Gear March 6, 2006 Share March 6, 2006 Driving school is the best choice. I passed my driving test at Bukit Butok Driving Centre. Before that i learnt from a private AssXXXX , spend so much then failed twice at Ubi.

Kxbc Turbocharged August 5, 2008 Share August 5, 2008 Digging up an old thread. Need some input from bros/sis here. The Wife wants to learn how to drive. So now deciding between sch & pte instructor. Which one better? If sch, will prob go to the AMK one as nearer my house. Good idea? If pte instructor, can anyone recommend a good patient instructor? What are the current rates? I know nuts about the driving sch scene as mine is converted from SAF many many years ago. TIA.
W2K_83 1st Gear August 5, 2008 Share August 5, 2008 (edited) Just enroll for school. I took mine about 6 years back. Initially with pte instructor but failed, then switched to school for express course and passed (recorded as first-timer pass for the school, quite cheater). School is more systematic, whereas a pte instructor has so many students under him alone but don't keep track of his students' progress properly. Kxbc Turbocharged August 5, 2008 Share August 5, 2008 What are the adv of sch over pte? More structured? Guaranteed pass, ie, fixed cost but guarantee you take test until pass? Thanks
W2K_83 1st Gear August 5, 2008 Share August 5, 2008 (edited) No guaranteed pass la, but its more systematic. It keeps proper track of your progress and gives you lesson accordingly. Whereas pte instructor may not know exactly your progress, then they just agar agar. Some pte instructors might be more better though. After all nowadays passing your TP test is not so much about your driving skills (look at the no. of kuku drivers we have), but more of how to wayang your way to show the tester that you are following closely to what you need to do which the school is very good at teaching :p Edited August 5, 2008 by W2K_83
