I'm planning to share a carton of RP with my friend, does BM allow toyota owners to bring their own oil?

BM allows you to bring yr own oil, they will deduct some amount from their standard packages (think it's $13 for the mineral oil package, not sure abt the syn oil package)

anyway, going for my 10K servcing at BM for my vios........

 

Thinking of bring my own engine oil and also maybe like to ask BM to change my spark plug to Denso Iridium Plugs....

 

Anyone can advise me the following:

 

How much BM deduct if i use my own fully synthetic engine oil?

 

Do BM carry iridium plugs? If yes, how much they charge?

It would be much cheaper to buy yr own Iridium plugs. BM won't give you a refund, but will return you the unused stock spark plugs.

If you understand how a importer/agent go about gettting financing and setting up the workshops in co-operation with a selected oil company, you will realise why many of them would not allow the use of other make of oil or oil brought in by the car owners.

For those companies who do thier own financing and purchaseing the lub in bulk without any string attached they may consider yr request to use your own oil.

The same principle applies even to small one-man shop who may have opt to sell only one brand of oil, in returns the oil company will provide the necessary equipement and tools to support the business in total. If the oil company's sales rep found other brand of oil can(s) within the premises, the owner will be verbally warn and if the practice continues, they will take legal action to recover back the investment!!

 

PS Just making money from from oil change labour charges is a sure way for bankruptcy.

I heard that BM with change the spark plug to iridium with additional charge of S$60.

Today visited BM web site.  For MPV only 3 available (Wish, Avanza and Sienta), where are other like Previa, Alphard ???

Previa uncompetitive in price against Estima. Alphard n VF suddenly disappeared although i thought they are selling v well.... strange

Good question. Also wondering if they were selling the Alphard and Vellfire, cos I saw borneo motors plate bracket on some.

From the BM Web site today, under MPVs only have 4 models Sienta, Wish, Alphard and VellFire.  Avanza and Previa gone.

ASK AD to change spark plug ....... wow, I think no one ever survived to tell after hearing the price ....Heee

 

C&C for example charge $24 PER Normal Plug BEFORE Labour Cost.  I survived because I called over the phone.  May cough blood if I am there.

 

Anyway, give a try @BM and update here.  10Q.

$24 can change 4plugs with labour outside. Hahahha

I buy stock copper plug - KIA-NGK $12 per set,  ownself do can do 2 times !!!

 

I think now cost more $14 or $16 per set of 4.
