Thunder Neutral Newbie December 29, 2004 Author Share December 29, 2004 The one that we are getting is a lighter shade of tint. You have to go down and see for yourself. Difficult to explain. Its opposite Ubi Test centre. Can see from the main road but to get in you have to go from the back which is in Kaki Bukit area. So far have quite a few express interest, i will keep you posted. The system goes like this: 1st person pay $250 2nd person pay $250 3rd person pay $250 4th person pay $250 5th person pay $250 Rebate $250 (if the 5 person takes up different price package, the rebate will be based on the lowest price package) 6th person pay $250 7th person pay $250 8th person pay $250 9th person pay $250 Rebate $250 (and so on, for every next 4 cars, we get 1 rebate) So to fully optimised the savings, we should have either 5 cars, 9 cars, 13 cars, 17cars and so on...... ↡ Advertisement
Dwoon 1st Gear December 31, 2004 Share December 31, 2004 Bro, I'm interested in doing the tint. Dunno if you can advise how much more expensive to do a "cross-over" car. Think the prices you posted are for saloon models only right? Or for that matter, perhaps tint only the rear half of the car. Thanks.
Imuya Clutched January 1, 2005 Share January 1, 2005 haha...yeah, the boss there quite funny in his attitude. But I like the honesty. He says that to pay that kind of price you must accept his worksmanship, which is ok, they really put in effort. But they do not have the aircon dust free environment that v-kool has, so a small amount of dust will get trapped between the glass and film. He showed me the film, cut it with scissors and the thing will ooze jagged edges out, i dunno how to explain la...but the idea is some metallic coating in the film that blocks the rays. Anyway the $150 for normal saloon car is do the 4 windows and the rear windscreen and the front is only a 6inch strip like those car that like to write things across the top of the front windscreen. They don't do the front, dunno why...maybe cos the dust issue might affect visibility. Was very tempted when I first saw, but thought for a while, the film they use is quite dark and they have no light meter so cannot confirm whether can pass or not...then tint windows attract TP attention somemore....and my car didn't do anything ppl say is ah beng car already.....sigh... Room430 Neutral Newbie January 11, 2005 Share January 11, 2005 Howdy , got a few questions: How much you paid for it? Is it only for the windows and rear windscreen? Is it effective in reducing heat? Is the tint dark?

Skyblue Neutral Newbie February 16, 2005 Share February 16, 2005 Hi do u knw where i can get good n cheap solar film, thanks!
Room430 Neutral Newbie February 16, 2005 Share February 16, 2005 Well, it really depends on how much you're will to spend, and whether you want it more for heat reduction or just looks. If it's both, be prepared to pay more. My previous ride was on V-Kool premium package, and it was good..... but expensive. My present ride is using Lex-Tint, after group discount it's only $200. Looks good, but I can vouch that it isn't as good as the V-Kool I had. I think there're some other brands/packages which is around $500, and it is relatively effective and good looking, but I'm not willing to spend that much..... pocket not so deep these days..... Protege323 Neutral Newbie February 16, 2005 Share February 16, 2005 You may want to try Perfect Windows @ Ubi, opposite the SSDC. The price is S$250 per pax but if you get 5 pax, there will be a S$250 rebate which means all 5 pax pay S$200 each. The heat rejection rate is 50% and you get the back tinted while the front remain clear. I must say that the filw really did improve the condition of driving. Just my 2 cents.
