Is the interior looks like this?

In USA, this car has the best value for the money. I believe.

I'll only buy the hatch back version though.

U can ignore part about engine, but the interior and handling should be the same.

You should wait for the MazdaSpeed version of Mazda3.. [bounce1]

Hi Kalf,

I was in exactly the same situation as you 6 mths back... considering between Mz3 and Honda Jazz. Eventually after going for 2 test-drives on each model, I decided on Mz3. Have you test-drive all your choices? If not, you should do so since it's going to be your car and no matter what people tell you, ultimately you yourself have to feel comfortable with it.

If you're confirmed getting the Mz3, I can recommend my SE who I felt gave me quite a good deal.nod.gif

Happy test-driving thumbsup.gif

think the strong pts pted out are gd handling and its looks, which is the best for any jap 1.6L car. its interior is nice too.

the cons are shitty OMV considering the price and slow pickup.

There are quite a few forumers frm Mazda Club who previously owned other 1.6 cars incl Civic and Corolla and now driving MZ3. Although MZ3 isnt the fastest in 1.6L in the market, they didnt think it was the slowest either.

The OMV will hit you when you sell before 10 years.

In 2-3 years' time, facelift model will be out, hitting your resale price.

In 3-5 years' time, the resale value will be scrap value + some peanuts. This is when you'll suffer from the low OMV and extremely high markup by dealer.

The biggest reason for the car is handling and looks.

Handling wise, a Ford Focus is better at a more reasonable price. So it boils down to looks. Is it worth that much more than other 1.6L cars?

Personal choice, just like the few thousands of Mz3 owners out there who made the choice. It could soon become as common as a sunny... [sweatdrop]

mazda car always good to drive but not as comfort, I find the most boring drive is toyota, the altis and camry both are bad for slightly spiritual driving...go do slightly hard cornering( try the bona vista south curly road, which I drive everyday, the toyota will roll like crazy...whereas I can speed up to 60-70 km/h without braking on my stock mazda 323

Toyoto is good at straight , i have equally bad experience on camry at USA, bloody hell such large body yet not stable, almost wet my pant even on straight highway.

Never try honda jazz, no comment, but i foresee the steerling feel will be the same as the rest of honda, super light...good to steer but dangerous at high speed.

Good point of mazda 3 is good handling, test drive this car, it is really good, bad point is expensive for 1.6L class, if you change your car in less than 3 years, you are going to lose 40K++ .

Lancer - pick up is much better than its GDI decessor, price is very affordable.

If you want to stick to the car for more than 5 years, go for mazda 3 or honda civic 1.6.

This is the exact reason why its scary to buy a new car now sweatdrop.gif
