Hi, JB sure have soundproof shop but I also donât know where...

I can recommend a soundproof specialist in KL Malaysia though..

https://autofoam.net/

I have tried their Autofoam package and it works. The boss Desmond is a pro in soundproofing. Go WHATSAPP him to check on soundproof for entire car.

By the way I have done up near 2k of soundproofing in Singapore so itâs not cheap as labour cost in Singapore is expensive. If I had found out about Autofoam before I done the soundproof.. I would have done everything there.. well at least I did part by part so can be sure which portion works.

I started with sound proof of 3 layers on all 4 doors and front wheel arc, then after a few weeks found proof all floor in cabin, then finally a few weeks later boot and rear wheel arcs. All these done in Singapore shop.

After that still not enough, I was in KL for work and have some time and I went to do Autofoam on the chassis on the car which still further muffler up road noise.

Go contact them.

How much does it cost for auto foam and how long it takes?

What's the effect like?

Hi all,

Was introduced to this soundproofing brand called "SOUNDGUARD" by 2 different workshpps. Based on installer's experience, it is most effective (performance wise), most durable, and no smell when compared to other supposedly reputable brands such as Dynamat, Silent, Hushmat, STP etc...

Anyone has comments/experience to share?

Because I checked out the website www.soundguard-usa.com (it's a disaster) and online reviews (totally non-existent) and they didn't gave me any confidence. But good thing is that based on installer's experience, it has worked and has been durable.

Then they have 3 grades as well.

Highest grade - Gold

Medium grade - Platinum

Basic grade - Silver

Anyone has installed any of these?

No advice received....So went ahead with soundproofing for all 4 doors with 2 layers Soundguard Gold and foam in-between, total 3 layers.

Hi! Finally did u get any shop to install for you? Can advise?

Just for sharing.

I almost ordered the Dynamat but decided against because at the end of the day, no shops will provide the warranty for it. E.g. against smell or melting. Whereas the cheaper quotes locally provide minimal 2 to 3 years, while the higher quotes provide full 10 years or until car resold/scrap.

Might want to consider this aspect as well! Cheers.

Thanks for sharing. Of course there will not be warranty for third party material issue. i think this must be understood.

However, i would like to know which shop would provide the service to help me install the deadening material we buy outside and for how much. Would appreciate some kind souls to advise if there have done this before.

Thanks!

Happy New Year!

I did, unfortunately, the shop isn't one that I would want to recommend as I found the manager dishonest. I do not want to name the shop as I'm somewhat tired of all the attacks everytime somebody named a shop with bad services.

I had no problem with smell, etc with Dynamat Extreme.

Will adding rubber seal at doors will help to reduce road and wind noise?

NO, I did that, shall not name the product but it's been the worst waste of my money. Expensive and absolutely no differences at all !!

Autoimage Enterprise did reply me that they are good to charge labour for installing with materials provided by customer. I did not check the rates then, so u might want to give them a call.

I also had no problems with Dynamat extreme in my previous ride. Shld be a rather safe bet to go with it.

As for door seals, there are many types of seals on the market and they are cheap, able to DIY adhesive too. D-type, P-type, flat type....Just got to try out which works best for each car? Going to shops will cost you between $80 to $200 for all doors.

Hello all! Please help with choosing subwoofer for Hyundai ix-35. I want to put everything from one manufacturer: and subwoofer, amplifier, and monoblock. Recently I liked the TS-WX20LPA model from the pioneer, and then got to the top of the best subwoofers soundrating.com/best-10-inch-subwoofer and realized that it was too early to make hasty conclusions. Itâs very hard to figure out everything. Who has a good experience with sound, tell me what to buy and how will it sound?

No need to buy all same brand. The sub you looking at is an active sub and so might not sound as good as passive big box sub. It's all about expectation and not living to regret the choice.
