The design of the tube, large bore, rubber compound, no cooling fins, poor air circulation, makes it more like a conduit to carry water rather than actual cooling. For the Stream, the bonnet is only 88cm long !!! They basically squeeze everything into that small space ! Thus a lot of things unreachable. Imagine, changing headlight also must remove a few reserviors (I mean power steering reserviors, washer reserviors, not the BIG water catchment reserviors :-P) !!! So, trying to keep heat away from each other. Madarmour Neutral Newbie November 10, 2002 Share November 10, 2002 Looks like it's gonna be quite a difficult job wrapping the hose as it appears to be quite tight there. How about doing a heat shield? BTW, like what Turbobrick suggested, I believe you'll get more improvement by wrapping the air intake hose instead.
