Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 14, 2004 Share December 14, 2004 My bro in law installed that M's twin Power (Similar to E68 according to him) and his FC improved and better 'Cheong Luk' (More Power). He is driving a 2003 1.6 (M) Corolla. I saw his last fuel gauge meter at slightly down 1/2 tank marking can have about 480Km in mileage.

Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Fuel needle slightly down from half tank marking. I also cannot believe my eyes!!! Maybe, he always go 'Jiu Hu' pump petrol and according to him, he took about 15~20 mins to pump til max. (His max is when the petrol almost sips out type). Maybe due to the above, that's why so good mileage. IMHO, his mileage like that not very accurate one.
Toyo 1st Gear December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Or maybe his fuel tank extra big, like 60 litres? so at 1/2 pt is roughly 30 litres.
Elkh Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 1/2 tank 480KM... whats his ride fuel tank capacity???
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 17, 2004 Share December 17, 2004 His is a 2003 Toyota Corolla 1.6 (M). Fuel tank capacity 50 Litres. I also find it hard to believe. Like what i have mention earlier, his fuel needle was slightly down from the half tank marking and he pump fuel til the brick so might not be too accurate. Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 17, 2004 Share December 17, 2004 His is a 2003 Corolla 1.6 (M) so i think his fuel tank is 50 Litres capacity. I cannot believe my eyes when i see it too. If like that full tank can go more than 650 Km?
Hitman Neutral Newbie December 17, 2004 Share December 17, 2004 (edited) Quote My bro in law installed that M's twin Power (Similar to E68 according to him) and his FC improved and better 'Cheong Luk' (More Power). I dun know about the Corolla but my 323 gives me such FC too. My current odo mileage is 180 km and I am just below the full tank mark. Reaching 480 km at half tank is achievable. And I dun drive slow either. Knowing my car ... this should get me 300 km by the 3/4 tank mark I dun exactly chiong but 3500 rpm gear changes are the norm for my TarzanBoy However having said tat ... from 1/2 tank to Empty , the 323 fuel meters comes down very quickly ... can only cover about 200 km from half to empty. The majority of the mileage is covered from FULL to 1/2 tank mark Edited December 17, 2004 by Hitman
Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 17, 2004 Share December 17, 2004 sunny is known to be a drinker. it takes mi 20mins to pump till full at jiu hu. 1/4 tank can run 160km. can pump up to $25 for 3/4 tank.
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 17, 2004 Share December 17, 2004 Thought Vios is quite a 'Petrol Saver'? Maybe, you are on 16" or 17" rims or you've got serious mods underneath your bonnet.

Normal_aspirated Clutched December 18, 2004 Share December 18, 2004 (edited) M's twinpower, E68, Airmax2, Ecotek, Powerjet, VenturiOne, etc are all air-injectors. Capsule, Monster, Mugenpower, Guni-cong, Vacuum Tank, etc are all air-capacitors (storage of air or vacuum). For mostly NA cars, combining one of each above, properly installed, adjusted the right amount of air injected, they will help to improve some better throttle response. FC depends on yer car, some yes, but for some no it translate into some extra horsey. Edited December 18, 2004 by Normal_aspirated
Genie Clutched December 18, 2004 Share December 18, 2004 Wah... if half tank can reach 480km, then you can very well challenge that fella who went to Genting and back on a single tank!
