Hi, would 195/55/15 or 185/60/15 be a better fit for 2018 Honda Fit? And also, Maxxis or Radar tyres are better? Thanks in advance!

would you mind share what is your exixting tire size ?

between the 2 sizes  195/55/15 or 185/60/15 , for me i will only take 185/60/15 if you are on Original Honda Factory fitted not those after market (becuase of the wheel width)

upsize your tire some have forgotten the Wheel width.

Asking 3 questions from you guys expert on rims and tyres.

Q1- My 18mths old ride original rims and tires are 215/50/r17 91v. Done 24k+ mileage. I have a problem - loss of traction when running over road patches, especially at speed above 70km/hr along a bend roads. I can feel the rear wheels slipped when I ran over the patches.
I have done alignment, rotation whenever go servicing, it this tires problem or other issue?

Q2- Can I change 18" tires into my existing 17" rim?

Q3-  Looking for quiet, comfort  and grip tires.  Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric and Michelin PS4 which is quieter and cheaper?

Q1. Whats your existing tyre?

Q2. Absolutely no way

Q3. I have used 2 sets of f1a3 and 1 set of ps4 on same car. If just base on quieter and cheaper definitely f1a3. I have no traction issues using any of these 2 tyres.

u want 18' tyres, need 18' rim. even if u upsize u might not have more grip.

how to tell your rear tyres lost traction? very hard to tell unless we pro racer.

instead could be other issue, like some cases they tune their suspension too hard. or tyres pump too much air.

maybe change to a higher performance tyres will help already .

And i dun think GY aysm come in 50 profile.

I would probably go straight to a reputable tyre shop or your dealer now and find out. Loss of traction above 70kph sounds horribly dangerous and unsafe and sounds like an accident waiting to happen (for yourself and everyone around you). I doubt anyone on this forum can diagnose your situation soundly without seeing and give you sound guidance.

No offence, but you don't sound like a car person based on your questions (eg wanting to fit an 18" tyre on a 17" rim is like saying you want to fit into a 32" pants when you're 56" waist line).  And it scares the daylights out of me knowing someone can potentially be driving at 70kph and lose traction, and then oversteer into the side of me, or worse still, directly infront of me.

At least to make it productive, if comfort, quietness and cheap are at the top of your list then the f1a5 and ps4's are not the tyres you should be talking about. Both are ultra performance summer tyres that emphasise performance (and grip), but are also relatively noisy, expensive and have higher wear compared to eco or comfort tyres.  You should be looking at Michelin Primacy, or Bridgestone Turanza if comfort is top of mind. If you want cheap, then also expect lower comfort, performance and safety.
