Kevingoh Neutral Newbie December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 Any bro here have an in-tank Broquet boostmaster in their optra? Genie47 1st Gear December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 (edited) Don't try it. I have not used it personally but I think most of these fuel saving devices are crap. The savings will never fully realize to pay for the initial purchase. Best fuel saving device? Staying the throttle and pumping in JB helps a lot. The latter enables you to pay road tax in just 2mths for a 1.3-1.6L car. Edited December 6, 2004 by Genie47
Deslow Neutral Newbie December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 I also thinking of installing the Broquet in line boostermaster cost about 340.00. any feedback???
Botak Neutral Newbie December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 (edited) Hi, it is up to you. I have installed it before for my Nissan Sunny. It did have some effect (more powerful pick up, smooth ride, but FC ??. Depends). You will not feel it until you take it out. $300+ is too much. Why not save the $$$ for the more cheaper magnet for your pipe line like the "EPS". Works the same way. FC still depends on your right foot. Guyver 1st Gear December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 To all... I've tried the Broquet Boostmaster B-30.... IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME!! Anyway... the sales person will usually say this : "Fuel savings depend from car to car." "Yah, some save more.. and some save less." "Generally, most of the customers get about 8-10% improvement." Worst of all... for the "in-line" version... they'll have to CUT YOUR FUEL LINE!!! Talking about voiding of warranty.... Managed to resell it off to a guy who believes that it'll work for his Subaru 1.6 Impreza...
Guyver 1st Gear December 6, 2004 Share December 6, 2004 I say again ... for "in-line" version.. they'll have to cut your fuel line!! so it might void your warranty!!

Slonez Clutched December 7, 2004 Share December 7, 2004 Hi, Tried in-tank Broquet when they just started in S'pore on my modified Starlet. My advise is to stay away from it, no measurable difference. Better use the $ on performance air filter, good engine oil and/or additive.
Normal_aspirated Clutched December 7, 2004 Share December 7, 2004 Hv one B40 on my fuel line & no need to cut. The installer supply his own and keep original fuel line hose. Paid so much becuz the agent of broquet provide the warranty. Worked more on older N.A. cars. But for newer cars, the ECU tends to cancel out the FC savings. u still get some improvement in horsey. For me already spent the $$$.
Nismo Neutral Newbie December 7, 2004 Share December 7, 2004 i still figuring out where is my fuel line
Normal_aspirated Clutched December 7, 2004 Share December 7, 2004 incoming fuel line is the rubber hose that connected to the common rail of fuel-injectors. the outgoing or drainage hose is immediately after the fuel-pressure regulator. Some newer cars doesn't hv any, but has fuel-pressure sensor.

I took it out and guess what!! My current FC without the broquet is same, if not better ! so to me the broquet is
