Wow! Looks like Kleeman K-Box + Pulley kit would make a stock E200K to near E320 specs. This is something serious...

Local Benzline is offering this for around S$3,500. What do you guys (with experience on Kleeman's products) think?

Actually, there are a few exclusive tuners of Mercs, such as Brabus and Kleeman. But I think this is amongst the first kits that cater to the new 1.8l M271 Kompressor engine used in C180K, C200K, C230K and E200K.

According to the dealer, there're a couple of Merc enthusiasts ready to mod this. I sure hope they are MCF regulars so that we can hear from their experience!

i beg to differ... IMO SPR has sufficient land and is able to in fact take in more than the current 4 million population...

to me this "not enough land" issue is just the status quo in which big brother doesnt wanna touch (their mentality is probably tat IF IT AINT BROKE.. .why FIX IT??)... cue the hundreds of thousands of sq feet of UNOCCUPPIED office & industrial land... cue the number of golf courses in SPR... cue the many new private housing project launches and the many UNSOLD ones frm older projects.. the list goes on.

SPR probably looking to attain a population density tat is close to HK... i.e: 8million or so... seems lik it will be a hard target judging fr our low birth rates & the 3.X million citizens PLUS 800,000++ foreigners which make up our population now.

after so many years (since 1990s) and we are still at 3.X million citizens... no wonder big brother is quite lax with immigrants fr China etc etc etc....

not much different frm Australia immigrant policy which tends to favour migrants from EUROPE to keep the population predominantly: WHITE..... [:|]

Disclaimer: the above strictly my opinion only... dun have to be believed! [;)]

It seems to be quite expensive for a pulley kit leh. But maybe coz its Kleemann. rolleyes.gif

For the C-Class W203, you need to fork out ~S$1,800 for a Carlson pulley kit to up the bhp from 163bhp to 192bhp. tongue.gif

Next thing to do after that if you have the $$ would be to replace the Rootes SC with a Lysholm SC used in the AMG models. rolleyes.gif

Then an ECU upgrade.... then a Mosselman bi-turbo...topped off a with a Fab Design body kit. nosebleed.gifnosebleed.gifnosebleed.gif

The K-Box kit for E200K / C200K is both an ECU plus Pulley upgrade.

Heard there is an ECU reprogramming avail from Benzline that downloads your software, optimise it, and then upload it again (i.e. no change to the original ECU). They promise about 10% increase in bhp. This means the stock 163bhp should become 180 bhp.

Anyone tried the ECU reprogamming yet? It should cost about $1.8K. What I like is there are no parts change at all. I suppose if something goes wrong, they can always flash the original software back.

Something like the way I flash my ATI X800 card to X800XT PE, I guess!

Big question: Anyone modded/tuned your new M271 Kompressor engine yet? C180, C200, C230 and E200K enthusiasts, pls share your experience!

The ECU reprogramming sounds interesting. Reflashing the software back could be an alternative with going back to original settings... but do note whether the STAR Diagnostics system can also detect when was the last time the ECU was flashed as well. Coz Saab has something like that which can detect when was the ECU settings last changed. sweatdrop.gif

I just emailed Kleeman to check if we can just use the K-Box on E200K without the pulley upgrade, and achieve the boosted power just like the C180K (which boosts to 193 bhp and 275 Nm - compared to 163bhp / 240Nm stock E200K).

This way, we leave the engine relatively untouched, and at most, just remove the K-Box if we ever run into problems with it.

193 bhp should be decent enough. This is probably what we can get with the ECU reprogramming option too, I guess.

Does it work with the w210 E200K? I have that in Singapore

I have a bad experience with Dinan chip stage 1 with my 740iL here in the US ...

My transmission blew after a few hard drive. Well please flash us an update if you are planning to get it!

Yeah, I'm also very keen to hear from those who have actually fitted the box. [nod]

Better still if after fitting, the claimed performance enhancement is supported by a bout of dyno testing! [:p]
