Anyone know where to get good price for these tyres:

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Michellin Preceda

Appreciate any feedback on them too. Is there any particular "country make" to look out for?

Thanks in advance.

F1 GS D3 got Germany-made and heard got thai-made. Preceda used to be Japan-made but think no more liao, stock all from thailand now.

Btw, F1 & Preceda diff category. Since u driving LGT, u shld be looking at F1s.

Dec 04 issue of Autocar (Asean) has an great tyre test article (last appeared in UK issue in Oct) between F1s, SO3, PS2, P-Zero, Dunlop Sport . Check it out.wink.gif

Yep, Preceda's are more quiet, although it also offers decent grip. They're not out and out performance tyres. I believe the Pilot Sports would be the high performance series for Michelin.

Anyway, I got very good price for Preceda's for my Sunny recently at Guan Seng Tyre (681 East Coast Rd). They've been there for 20 yrs already. See my thread about Sunny 14" to 15" in this forum.

Cheers!

As much as I know that the F1GSD3s are good, especially in the wet, I question the test results because the test was conducted on the Goodyear test track. Urm, correct me if I am wrong.

yes it was. but becoz GY has one of the best test track facilities in europe. but more importantly, they weren't using GY drivers, GY equipment or GY mkt dept. laugh.giflaugh.gif

Just put the Eagle F1 GS D3 on my ride... very quiet and comfortable, comparable if not better than my stock Continental. No regrets, great tyres!!!
