Hi Guys,

I am helping my good friend to find out more about this model selling new at $109K (OMV $31K)......., hope you guys may know a thing or two about this plain looking model.

We saw it at the PI showroom today, it looks like a Corolla G9 but it's a five door hatchback with body kit and the PI claims that it has about 220ps with TRD tuned 1800cc engine. Anyone knows about this model and it's 0-100 sprint time??

For the price, what other similar models can my friend consider? He's looking for something fast, but low-key looking.

Many thankswink.gifwink.gif

Got the info from this site.

Our 8,58 seconds 0-100 km/h time was reached after much experimentation - it is quite a challenge to achieve exactly the right amount of wheelspin - but it compares favourably with other hot hatches, of which Volkswagen's fractionally faster Golf GTi is probably the main target. We did, however, expect a higher top speed than the recorded 205 km/h.

there are lotsa cases in aus whereby a DC2R (integra type R ) with 200hp wld totally outrun a toyota corolla sportivo with similar 200hp by a big stretch..its just a drag racing..nt with corners and stuffs...it was said that the corolla comes with mismatched long gear ratios whereas the DC2R comes with tested short ratio gearbox...with the mismatched gearbox on the corolla sportivo, it doesnt compliments the engine's capability.. $109k why not go for rex? cheaper and more powerful somemore. this runx is just a corolla with VVTL-i, and VVTL-i only give power on high rev, rex has the power from mid rev onwards what do u think? [sly]
