Carlover76 Neutral Newbie November 13, 2004 Share November 13, 2004 How much is the OMV huh? If the OMV is low and price pay for the car on the high side for a 1.5cc then a bit not worth, can get a Korean 1.6 liao with that price and enjoying a 2.0litre gadgets in a 1.6cc car. Ngck 3rd Gear November 13, 2004 Share November 13, 2004 (edited) those dealer are a joke. i think they are looking for carrot head. heheh yeah.. new car waiting time about 2 mths. my friend just booked one. but i have done my research already. but frankly speaking, there are ppl who just buy blindly therefore spoiling the market Edited November 13, 2004 by Ngck
Ngck 3rd Gear November 13, 2004 Share November 13, 2004 (edited) vios very little leh.. at the most 1 or 2 posting only... price quite high too i think those that are selling after 1 year are feeling the effects of "buy now, worry later symptoms" already. they will feel it when the road tax and insurance is up for renewal. buying higher CC car will also mean higher insurance preminums and road tax mah.... btw, from your avatar, i guess you are driving a kia. hows the reliability and fc like? Carlover76 Neutral Newbie November 14, 2004 Share November 14, 2004 (edited) I am driving a Kia Spectra, I actually want to get a 1.5cc car cos lower road tax but now find out that the road tax between 1.5 and 1.6cc only difference of $100 per year so not much of difference. Consider not bad as if get a Jap 1.5cc car then I will be paying the same price as a Korean 1.6cc car and enjoying all the gadgets found in 2.0litre car where Jap cars 1.6cc and below are just basic car. As for current market trend, most people will drive their car for around 3 years or wait till the outstanding loan and car trade in price are break even before they change car, based on current market, most car will be exported and based on paper value of the car and not resale value anymore so what is the difference between Korean and Jap cars. Besides Korean cars are much better than before, I also expecting Korean type of lousy quality from my Spectra when I first bought but it exceed my expectations, it is much better than my sister's Jap car! Talking about saving petrol, how much more can you save with singapore traffic, start and stop everywhere unlike in Malaysia, any car there you can save more petrol than in Singapore!
