my friend drive a VIP 1.5 manual also..he can achieve as much aas i do, despite that his car is even heavier!

just scraped my sunny and changed to a honda fit liao...fuel consumption also impressive,

with impressive low rpm range for a 1339cc displacment engine! (engine max output at only 2800rpm!!!) now i get 500km for 45-50bucks of petrol.

Hi,

I thought the VIP weight is about the same as a B14 i.e. 1,070 kg. My FC is 11.4 Km/litre.

The FL sunny is 1,140 kg i.e. a extra person weight. My take is Jazz with iDSI engine and a lighter body should have good FC. Anyway, Honda pride is in their engine i.e. "best engine in the world". Good feedback from most Jazz owners, just that the car price was high at $72,000 [Hua Yang] while KM selling at $79,000 last June when I was hunting. Anyway a good car space for a family of 4.

Regards,

Question now is not whether Sunny is a drinker. It is how far from OEM rating. Recent Shell Better Mileage Challenge discovered majority of Jap cars are grossly over-rated for fuel economy. A great concern for many of us who thought Jap cars are better believing their apparently more favourable specifications.

Probably on paper, Sunny FC must be alot better.

They can't tell us what we already know... so they must say something in contuary... in this way... they'll have the edge... for Shell petrol... I have tried.. it's the same as Mobil.. yet there is one bro here I know who drives a Mazda 323 commented that his mileage improves by about 8-10%.

So bottomline is ... it depends on individual.. [thumbsup]

If 55 litres, when the low-fuel light on (at around 480km) and I pump in (fullest) on slightly over 40 litres, its means I still have about 15 litres to goconfused.gif???, that would translate to another 100 km...sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif to go? Anyway tks for you inputthumbsup.gif.
