Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows the brand of the stock Sports Rim on the Optra ? (I think it is the same on the Aveo too ?)

Not sure if it the culprit that is dragging my FC..

Checked with Sa.. the multi-spork sports rims is a freaking 9kg!!!!

I have advanti rims on my previous ride weighing about 5kg without tyres. With tyres, the 15 inch rim is even lighter than my stock 13 inch with tyres!

But i think the enkei has even lighter rims......

Just got rid of my previous ride rims and tyres, so may be looking for new rims prb from advanti too.

9kg!! [dizzy] Is this confirmed? [confused]

This is really bad....... 6-7kg I already consider heavy...... no wonder the car feels like a tank [:|]

Time to look for lighter rims?

I am swapping the optra stock multi-spoke rims and tyres(all 4)

with a complete set of rims and tyres from another car

(not too sure the brand/model but they are of the same size).

Question 1, can the circular emblems(badge) on the optra rims

be taken out? I still want to maintain that chevy emblem on

the other set of rims.

Question 2, what are the market rates for swapping all 8 tyres?

(Back-breaking exercise if i were to do it myself)

You may not believe that but the stock rims ( shining chrome type - 12 spokes ? ) fitted on the Optra has the "Enkei" embossed on the inside of the rim. Was told that these rims were made by the Thai Enkei factory for Chevrolet ! I got my 8 spoke painted rim from SA but the box stated Made in Korea. There was no "Enkei" embossment on mine.
