Duplicate key with immobliser

Those that need to have their keys duplicated that are armed with immoblisers can look here...

 

Too bad I ordered and placed deposit for mine at CA already (which I am still waiting for to arrive )

 

If only these guys advertised earlier, I would've give them a try....

Just came back from CA ... had a chat with the tech guys there... told me quite long process.... those guys might not be up to the task

 

plus I can't get a refund on my deposit... Guess will have to wait for my key to arrive

Yes it's cheaper,

 

But no gurantee it will work. As far as I know , without the special code from the manu the key is impossible to make. As for me I have the special code when JTA collapse and inside the tag is the special code for the car.

 

even the manu have to get hold of that code to duplicate the key. Doubt there is any skoda owner here have the key duplicate elsewhere.

Yea. It's almost impossible. I also had mine done at JTA last time. Cost me $60 bucks because of some screw up.

That's not expensive.

It actually cost a total of about $150-$200 to make the key.

Probably the company paid the rest.

Yah ! $60 is not expensive. My new car come with only 1 key and JTA told me dup need around $120, argue with them that the car manual stated new car should come with 2 keys, so they LL dup another one for me.

Actually it was meant to be free. It was in the agreement when we bought the car. But the SA screwed up. So in the end had to pay $60 for it. Originally was $120 like what you said.

Myself is in the identification business and immobiliser is one area that we work on.

 

Frankly it is not as easy as it seems. You need the original code before you can write the software 'key' to unlock.

 

So no original, no duplicate.
