GDIzen Neutral Newbie October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 (edited) Just wanted to share that the new series is available in SG and it does not foul up with carbon deposits like the IK16 models. The correct application should be VKA 16/20 (colder plug). This works for 1.8l & 2l GDI engines in Grandis/Chariot, Galant and Dion models. It even has 3 sub electrodes for complete firing, I think... http://www.denso.co.jp/PLUG/iridiumtough/lineup.html Edited October 15, 2004 by GDIzen ↡ Advertisement
Tsystem Neutral Newbie October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 (edited) Hi there... so if i'm using IK20 Iridium plugs now, I should use VKA 20 for the Iridium TOUGH versions? *oops, or are the Iridium Tough plugs for GDI engines only? Kytl68 Neutral Newbie October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 Hi I am using the SK20 (meant for Toyota & Lexus) on my Kia Optima ... it's a tough or ultra-life plug compared to the IK series ... it's not too bad ... got pickup and smoother ride but no gain in FC ... it's the same as the VKA series more or less (I think VKA is commercial name and SK is OEM Toyota model). You should try, it's quite alright
