I've seen Blue CRX del sol in Singapore (behind Prudential Towers) with the same thing.

I had a quick glimpse, and was skeptical at first of what I saw.

 

I wonder which company does it in here......

perfect modesty/privacy shield man!!!!......... go for it, next you go park your car in dark places for some privacy, this will greatly improve your sense of protection with your gf............. also can act as bullet shield if terrorists shoot at your from behind

The CRX needs it to store the targa top, AFAIK. Otherwise it's just a simple four-car linkage, not dissimilar to the ones already being used in many other cars, just have to play around with the link lengths. But Mike's probably right about it being form over function... the effective opening size is reduced over the regular lids.

Quite unique, really. But it would be better if your car has those auto boot release function, and this goes up by itself. Wooo cool man..
