Sonnytay Neutral Newbie October 11, 2004 Share October 11, 2004 Anybody know how we can calculate how much the agent mark-up over the "cost" of new vehicle? Went to the onemotoring website to calculate 'New Vehicle Registration Cost' for a few model I'm interested in, either the figures I input is wrong or seems like the average mark-up is around 15k - 20k per vehicle. ↡ Advertisement

Sonnytay Neutral Newbie October 11, 2004 Author Share October 11, 2004 Great Link, Thanks! Going through the list, the mark-up is really about 15-20k for the 2ltr car. Anybody ever tried to bargain with agent using such info?? I guess the success rate wouldn't be high.
Skoda_Man Neutral Newbie October 11, 2004 Share October 11, 2004 Present day it is like 5K or so after you deduct free servicing and warrenty. Mfg offer only 1 year warrenty while agent offer 3 years, they have to makan the additional 2 years. But then again they have tricks up their sleeves to reduce the cost. Like telling you, this and that is not under warrenty b'cos it is considered wear and tear item....or this is normal, not a fault. ↡ Advertisement
